Memory Timings DD2 1066

So the memory i had installed on my MOBO gave way. So i decided to upgrade

I purchased 8gb of DDR2 1066. Installed it, set memory settings to 1066 in bios set the power to the memory at 2.1 and everything else is set to auto including timings.

So far the system seems stable, but i noticed the timings that the bios picked up are not the same that the MFG recommended them to be set.
I understand that almost everything can be tweaked to increase its performance and so far my system seems to enjoy the extra memory.

Im just concerned about the timings and am wondering if I am damaging anything by setting everything to Auto.

No you won't damage RAM unless you give it too much voltage. If you set timings it doesn't like, it probably won't boot. Try 5-5-5-15 2.0v and run Memtest for stability: http://www.memtest.org/
