Memory timings beyond the basic first four.

I have my G.Skill Ripjaws set at 1440MHz 7-7-7-21. I don't know anything about the timings of memory beyond those first four and CPU-Z is showing my tRFC at 80 clocks. It seemed rather high compared to the other timings and knowing nothing about it I thought I'd ask what it should be. Thanks.

Does anyone know what my tRC should be? The XMP profile for my memory is 1600 8-8-8-24 CR-2T @ 1.6V. My memory right now is 1440 7-7-7-21 tRFC-80 CR-1T @1.6V. the tRFC being at 80 was set by my mobo since I don't know what it should be at but 80 seems way to high for me.

Unless you are running superpi and other mem benchmarks, why does it matter?

In real life, you will never see a difference. Just leave it as is and make sure your RAM is stable.

The reason I overclock and play with all this stuff isn't really for the performance. It's mainly a hobby for fun and to learn, also the challenge of getting the absolute best I can out of what I have. These timings are something that I don't know anything about and am having a lot of trouble finding info about online so I was hoping for some info from someone who knows more than me. Learning and understanding these things is half the fun.

I just googled and found a ton of info about tRFC. From what I've read, 80 is about right. Something else important that I read: Insufficient tRFC will result in system failures.
