Memory testing

I built a new box with 16 gb and am running the hci memtest. I ran it as a boot disk to ensure that all memory is tested and not worry about the memory used by windows.
It ran overnight and it was only 143% coverage.

I was planning to run it for a few nights and hoping that 10 nights of 143%coverage equals the standard of 1000% coverage. Any ideas. Or should I run it multiple threads in windows 7? If so how to make it run a different thread?

afaik, it's generally best to not run any memory testing programs within a Windows environment. Just run it off bootup.

With that being said, why not just run it without interruption until you get the 1,000% coverage you're looking for?

🙂 As long as Diablo runs fine, you'll be happy in the meantime. Whenever next time you can catch a break, try using Memtest+. You can make a bootable USB or gasp... CD. Play on!
