It might be FTW for you but when most of the world uses IE, it's FTL. IT usually doesn't like it when employees try to download and install browsers besides IE onto their work computers.
Besides, it shouldn't be too hard to fix the code for those two tabs to make those work in browsers besides FF2. It was just something that was pointed out so that it could be looked into. It wasn't meant to be a browser war.

doesnt work in FF 1.5/2.0 or IE6/7 at my end
