So, I'm building out a new computer and I'm not really sure what to do with the memory. I'm looking for some tips, and of course, some suggestions.

Heres what I've got so far:

    Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
    Processor: Intel I7‑3930K 3.2 GHz
PSU: 1200w Enermax ( dont remember specifically, bit old )
    Video: Radeon HD 7970

Cooling the CPU with a Corsair H80.

Basically, I'm looking to get the best memory I can get for overclocking...

Samsung, unless you need more than 4GB per slot.

Corsair is a decent brand. Go for the one with normal heatsinks. Kingston and crucial make decent ram too. I have 1600 but your mobo can probably support different types.

It's not 'probably', it can. I've got the Rampage II Extreme.

Than any of those listed or other high quality ram would be fine. If you want to be sure sticking to well known name brands will be your best bet.

Grab a Corshair or Samsung. G.SKILL is good too, and cheaper. gl

Good to know, never knew they had any. I think the consensus here is to jump on the low voltage memory either Kingston or Samsung and OC the crap out of it.

So, not finding much of the 1.35v stuff in the quad channel realm...

    Newegg

Some corsair Vengeance and some G.SKILL Ripjaws...

Blain, why did you say not Ballistix?

Their [Kingston] server was down for a little bit.
