Mushkin, and G. Skill... are the best in the 2 x 2 Gig Vendors at this point.

pc2-6400 or pc2-8000 depending upon your overclocking requirements.

I know N7 has the Mushkin, and recommends highly, many use the G. Skill with no issues.

G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK)

Just ordered some of that. We'll see how I get on. Thanks!

That's a good kit if it's the G. Skill DDR2-1000 I'm thinking of. You'd have been fine with DDR2-800 since you're using a Q6600, but that RAM is good too.

I'm running 8GB of the G.Skill DDR2 PC2-6400 CAS5 4GBPQ quite happily in my P5Q-E. They also ran well in my somewhat flaky MSI P6N Platinum SLI. I never ran them for extended periods OC'd or at lower timings, but I'm running them at PL 10 right now at 1.9V. Very happy with them, but if I were buying today I'd spring the little bit extra for the PC2-8500 kit just for a bit more flexibility with Intel chipset's FSB strap.

Gotta love that "new parts coming in" feeling. Enjoy your build!
