I just got through purchasing a MSI P35D3 motherboard and need some help and/or suggestions on on what type of DDR3 memory to purchase for use in this motherboard.

I don't plan on overclocking the CPU (which will be an E6850) unless the new Intel CPU's get released soon. The computer will be used mostly for games and running office style applications.

I'm just very out of date on the various types of memory and what would be good to use. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks,

Psy

Unfortunately, DDR3 has only recently become available, and so is still much more expensive than DDR2. Hopefully DDR3 will reach cost parity with DDR2 RAM in 12-18 months. Thus, for now, I would just buy a pair of the least amount of the cheapest DDR3 you can find. Speed doesn't matter at this point, since it will be a few years until Intel introduces CPUs that need the higher DDR3 speeds.
