I have GA-P35C-DS3R MB with E6850 CPU
I have a option in Bios for different Strapping
800
1033
1066
Can any body tells me what is that ?
Choices shows on the side is
Symbols, +800
strapping ~1066
strapping # 1333 strapping

I have this memory Pic
My MB only works with 800 Strapping

It seems to change some internal timings. Thus, higher strap will perform less (probably barely measurable) but can yield higher clock speeds.

Also, some boards may limit what memory multipliers you have access to based on strap.
