I would like to port two (2) memory sticks into my Dell CPU but the USB ports are so close together and the USB connector is right at the end of the stick so that both cannot fit side by side simultaneously. Looks like 2 cables could work though if there is such a thing as plugging the device into a cable on one end, and then the other into the CPU. Has anyone ever seen this type of cable?

There are resources outside of AT Forums, and many of them can answer simple questions more easily (and almost always more quickly) than this forum can, without wasting other people's time and effort. Please try to keep that in mind.

Google is your friend.

Looks like you're the only one who wasted their time......Oh....and one more thing.....are there any baseline rules for posting questions on this forum?.....No...I didn't think so. Don't you think the choice of 'General Hardware' was appropriate?

Apologies accepted.

wow, your pretty peppy for a newb. It is actually a generally acceted rule that something like this can be left to a simle internet search. You should count yourself lucky that mathias answered you instead of one of the others around here because with your attitude in conjuction with how most people here would reply would turn into a flame war and just get your post locked.

Good luck at the AT forums, I think your going to need it.

My attitude didn't exist until I got the response that I did.......I don't....and never did....respond well to sarcasm or condescending dialog...it was a natural reaction on my part. My friend who recommended this site to me stated that it was a great source of information provided by people with vast knowledge and the willingness to share it. A simple "the answer to your question can also be found on doing a google search" would have been more in line with a mature and courteous response. When you re-read the response I got......you can easily see just how inflammatory it was....and not need be. Anyway.....as I learn to use my computer more I suppose some of these things will begin to make more sense, etc.

Have a nice day.

Well, he did give you a link, didn't he? On most forums you would have been outright shot down... :p Personally I don't see how it was really offensive. GIYF indeed, after all. There are no rules for posting because the mods are autocratic, AFAIK. :p

And welcome to the AT forums, hope you don't hate us too much yet :)

My knife came with one of these cords in the box. Its really kinda handy since my pc at work doesn't have a front usb port. I also reccomend the knife (I got the 512 mb edition not available through think geek).

My point is simply that you did get your questio answered and that sarcasm runs rampant on online forums. Everyone here at one time or another has either learned that that is a fact of life on teh internet and dealt with it or lost there mind because they would over react to sarcasm. The members here are by far the most intelligent people(technically speaking) out of any other forums I have frequesnted. I beleive that Matt was just trying to say that it would have probably been better off just trying to search for one through something like google. I will give you that his sarcasm was probably not called for but speaking of being the mature person yet involving yourself in an exchange of sarcasm is rather hypocritical.

On a separate note the lines of periods are kinda annoying. IMO. I am not trying to barade you with insults or anything either. Just expressing my opinion.
