Memory Stick Pro DUO anyone?

All,

When I first received my DV1000, the built-in memory card slots didn't work at all. I sent the unit in for warranty repair and they replaced the whole motherboard to fix the issue. Now the slots read/write to SD and standard MS cards, but not to the MS Pro Duo cards that my Sony DSC-T1 camera uses. When I load a Memory Stick Pro Duo card in the adapter that it came with (to make it fit into a standard MS/ MS Pro slot), XP mounts the card as a "Memory Stick Pro" disc, but refuses to access it, claiming that the card needs to be formatted or isn't inserted.

I can remove the card from the built-in slots and use a PC-Card type memory card reader in the DV1000's PC-Card slot, and the same MS Pro Duo card works fine. I've reinstalled all the drivers for the slots, and I know the hardware is working because it reads standard MS and SD cards, and is supposed to read MS Pro cards (all I have are the smaller Duo-style), but has anyone else been able to use MS Pro Duo cards in their DV1000's built-in memory card slots?

I really don't want to have to send the unit in for repair a second time, but I paid for everything to work and want it to do so.

Thanks,
