Memory: Speed vs Quantity

I need to buy some memory for my new system (400SC). Since I only paid ~$300 for it in the first place I'm not spending $150+ on memory alone. So I have the option of getting either 1gb of PC2700 or 512mb of PC3200. Both are roughly the same price so which is better the faster speed or the larger amount? The system comes with a 2.8C P4 which I remember makes more use of the faster memory vs AMD systems. Also I can not overclock the machine, as it has no PCI/AGP lock. Most reports I've read seem to have people machines crash or soundcard/other PCI slot problems. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm going to agree with that.
You're doing no overclocking, as you said, so regardless of your pc use (gaming vs. office, photoshop, etc.), you shouldn't see an improvement with faster ram.
