my goal was to get maximum speed stock for minimum bux and noise for one of my kid's friends... got a $60 vnf3 and a 3400 and now not so sure it was a good idea...
with 2 dimms (tried all slot combos) it boots at 333 memory... tried a couple different bios. it's slower than a 9nda3j/ 3000 (at 2.25 ghz) winch in another box i built... and it has no mult adjustment (i had thought i saw that a later bios added that)... and the chip runs way hot (50c idle, i pulled it apart and got rid of the stock thermal pad and put on arctic ceramica, no change)...
this sux so far... it's turning into a "no good deed goes unpunished"...
