memory speed is only 400 MHz instead of 1066

I have 4 sticks of (2 dual lots) of Kingston Hyper X (KHX8500D2/1GN) that are supposed to be running at 1066 MHz but according to HWinfo, Everest Ultimate edition & CPUz they are only running at 400.0 MHz

Can someone please tell me how to fix this or what is going, I am totally stumped. I'm not into overclocking but I would like to have the memory running at least close to what they are supposed to be doing

Any help appreciated

What FSB you running?
Intel is quad pumped, so FSB * 4 = ...
The RAM would be 1066 / 2 = 533MHz

is this what you are asking for?

Real Clock 333 MHz (QDR)
Effective Clock 1333 MHz
Bandwidth 10667 MB/s

Some motherboards default the RAM to DDR2-800 when all 4 slots are populated.

DDR2-800 runs at 400mhz - well, sort of... the memory's "real clock" is actually 200mhz, but let's not get into that. :) Anyway, since data is being transferred on both the rising and falling edge of the clock, the effective speed is doubled. Hence 2 X 400mhz = DDR2-800.

Anyway, you should be able to go into the BIOS and manually set the RAM to 1066mhz.

1066 kits default to DDR-800 or 400Mhz.
You have to manually set the ram speed to 533Mhz in the BIOS; to get the rated ddr2-1066.
