Hello,
I have a sy-kt600 dragon socket A mobo with athlon xp 3200. Recently with my kingston 512 pc3200 in mem slot 1, it makes 3 beeps in AMI bios. I looked it up and it means some type of 64 K memory failure. I took it out thinking the memory is bad and switch it with my other computer's pc2700 memory. The kingston wasn't bad at all. The funny thing is the pc2700 in mem slot 1 of my athlon works and my system booted up. So I took the pc3200 and put it back into my athlon system, this time in mem slot 2 and this works. Is my mem slot 1 shot?? IF its shot how come it still works with pc2700 but not pc3200?
Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.
