I just put in a pair of gskill 2x2 gig chips for 4 gigs in bank 0

In Bank 1 I have my old set of ram 1x1 gig for 2 gigs

the gskill has an spd at 400 of 5-5-5-15
The other ram has an spd at 400 of 5-5-5-18

If I leave the timings in auto will it run them each at their own spd? Or will they all run at 5-5-5-15 or all at 5-5-5-18. Or will they run faster since I am at a 350mhz bus not 400? both are rated 4-4-4-12 at 266.

Or should I set it to manual and force all sticks to 5-5-5-15?

or does it matter.

So much posted yet so little info within.

System specs?
Overclocked speeds/settings?

It's honestly hard to figure out what you are saying...

If i understand correctly, you have 2x2 GB + 2x1 GB DDR2 in some unknown system?

If you leave things AUTO, it'll apply the looser SPD settings most likely & set 5-5-5-18.

What speed is up to whatever ratio the unknown mobo you're using sets, or by the one you choose to set.

The memory will run at the SPD of the stick in the slot closest to the memory controller.

Why don't you just set the latencies manually?

My specs are e6400 @2.8 with a 350 fsb vcore at 1.2650
My ram is ddr2 800 with the 2x2 in bank 0 and 1x1 in bank 1
The only things I have manually set in the bios are the FSB and the only reason I have the vcore set is is to reduce temps.

I guess my hope was that leave it in auto it would run faster because it is rated at 5-5-5-15 on 400 and 4-4-4-12 at 266. So since I am running 350 the ram would run faster that 5-5-5-15 but slower than 4-4-4-12, but I dont really wanted it running at 5-5-5-18 when I know for sure the 1x1 can run at 5-5-5-12 despite their spd because that is what they are rated at 400.

I'm a little confused by your terms.
5-5-5-15 and 4-4-4-12 are memory latencies, not memory speeds.
Your memory is running at 700 mhz. ("My specs are e6400 @2.8 with a 350 fsb ")

Generally, about, some would say, approximately, I guess, perhaps, a change in CAS by one number is about equal to a memory speed change of 30 mhz.

sorry what I mean is will it run at a lower latency in auto with a fsb of 350 vs 5-5-5-15 rated for a fsb of 400
or should I just manually set it to 5-5-5-15

Does anyone think it would do 4-4-4-12 at 350mhz?
