Memory Settings on P4B266-C

I currently have my 1.6A running at 2.11 GHz (132 FSB). The memory setting is at 1:1. When I try to go to 3:4 the PC locks up starting up Windows XP. I have a 256 MB stick of Crucial PC2100 DDR RAM. Is there something I need to do (besides buying a new stick of RAM) to enable this RAM to work at the 3:4 setting?

Thanks for your help in advance.

What are your settings. Mine works at SPD at that speed, but I have my DDR voltage turned to 2.6v, that might be the difference. BTW same mobo and memory.

have you disabled the onboard usb1.1? couldn't get past post till i did.
running stable now at 133 fsb using a usb2.0 card.

Bump your Mem up to 2.6V and see what happens. 132fsb on a 4/3 divider =352Mhz With PC2100(266) ram, that will almost certainly need a V bump.
I have the Asus P4B266 and the same ram, running FSB at 156, so ram is at 312Mhz 2.6V.

Thanks for the information folks.

I disabled the USB this morning, but it still won't load Windows XP with the memory set at 3:4. I raised the RAM voltage to 2.6 this afternoon, but it still hangs up trying to load Windows XP. I'll try 2.7 volts when I get back off vacation next week. It could be that I'm one of those unlucky few who got some Crucial RAM that doesn't overclock well. If 2.7 volts doesn't work, I'll think about buying a couple of 128 MB sticks of Mushkin RAM and see if that works.

Since I'm stuck using the 1:1 memory ratio, I'll keep raising the FSB to see how far I get.

Thank you for your assistance.

i couldn't get a decent overclock with the manuel settings but it runs great by changing from 1600 to 2133 and everything else set to auto and usb1.1 disabled.
