Memory Selection and Setup

I am putting together an A64 system based around the famous DFI NF4 Ultra board. I am either using a BP 3000 or a 3200. It will be overcooked on a daily basis.

What I am having trouble wrapping my brain around is the whole 1000 FSB thing. I think I can get everything set up properly given the right components.

What speed memory do I need? I see the board supports up to DDR400, but I am guessing that it also has the ability to run faster RAM than that. If I get DDR400, will I be happy with it, or is the only way that the overclock shines is with the faster RAM? Should I spend the extra $64 for the OCZ 2-2-2-5 memory, or will I run well with the Corsair 2-3-3-6?

Is it worth the extra cash to get DDR500 or DDR533?

Thank you!
