will a 256MB PC2700 DDR work along with a 256MB PC2100 when placed together in the motherboard? will there be any instability?

im juz confused, my friends tell me it is not possible to mix PC2100 with PC2700. is that true? THANX everyone!😀

As was mentioned it will run at PC2100 speeds. What was NOT said was you will not know if you are going to have stability problems until you try it. Mixing and matching memory is never a sure thing. I've done it plenty of times with no problems but I read tech forums often and have heard of issues doing so with the particular brands they had and their mobo.

More than likely though it will go fine.
