Memory question

Hey so i want to get this straigh. A 32 bit os can only access/use 3.2 gigs at a time. So say if i have 2 one gig sticks and 2 512 sticks for a total of 3 gigs of ram. If im using Vista and i want to use ready boost does that mean that after all my memory including video card whatever is left that is the amount the drive can use ie if my total memory adds up to 3 gig and 500 mb that only 500 mb on a 4 gig flash card will only be used?

You can only address 4 GB of memory using numbers 32 bits long. So your example seems right. Hmm not sure if I'm thinking about it right though. Reading this http://blogs.msdn.com/tomarche...2006/06/02/615199.aspx blog, and this newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820100003 makes it seem like you could use the whole 4 gigs like a preloaded cache for the pagefile.
Full Disclosure: All I know about ReadyBoost comes from reading these two links. Mostly the first one. Hope this is helpful.

About 32 bit and memory. This doesn't apply here, because it's not real memory. It's a disk caching technique, it's not mapped into the physical memory space
