I had 4gb's, 2x2 sticks of OCZ DDR3 installed. The sticks are PC3 10666 with timings of 7-7-7@1.65v. The part number is OCZ3P1333LV4GK. I later installed a second set of OCZ 2x2gb sticks, all matching numbers to my originals in my machine having a total of 8gb. After install I started having BSD issues and memory dumps etc., just a very unstable machine. I was having difficulty loading programs as well. I removed two of the sticks and it seems to have stablized my maching and it seems to be running ok. What would cause the issues I was having if the mem sticks were the same? Running W7 64 Ultimate.

Well....... I removed one set after establishing the machine is running stable. I then removed those two sticks and installed the second set. They performed stable also. The only visual difference between the two sets is the color of the PCB. One set is green and the other is either black or very dark brown. All else is the same. Ran Sandra and did a mem test on each set individually and all the specs matched. Loaded all four again this time alternating colors in the slots, ie: green, black, green and black. Machine seems stable but time will tell. Ran Sandra again and all the memory specs are correct and they match. Any opinions as to why the constant BSD's and disc checks and reboots prior to this?
