Ok i have windows 7 64 bit.

I have 12g of ddr3 memory installed.

If I bring up task manager and go under performance it states I only have 4093.

Exact numbers are

Physical Memory

Total 4093
Cached 1012
Available 2541
Free 1696

Kernal Memory
paged 147
nonpaged 60

SYSTEM
Handles 23070
Threads 1061
Proccesses 70

Commin (MB) 1890/8185

Ok my question is if I have 12g of ram shouldnt I have 12g shown under total physical memory not 4093?

EDIT: I just restarted my pc and under the post where it states physical memory. It went by way to fast to read but what I did catch was it started with a 4.
If I go under cpuz or under system info it states I have 12g installed. So am I just being an idiot worring about this lol over paranoid.

Sorry for putting a 2nd post but I seen something else I need to place in and I hate reediting post.

Ok if I go to control panel systems

Where it says installed ram I have 12GB then it states (4.00 GB usable)

WTH it wasnt like that before and I dont remeber changeing any setting. Anyone have any idea how to get it back to 12.

Anandtech actually ran into this issue also
http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3652&p=20

I went and reset my bios to optimized setting.
I changed only a few options none of which had anything to do with the Ram.

I havent had this problem till yesterday or the day before. Its very unusual and whats even wiered is its showing up in post with only 4gb I figured at least there it would have all 12.

Just to restate I am using a 64bit operating system!!!!

I looked through everything for memory remapping. From what I read I needed to turn it on. I cant find it anywhere in my bios. Also I went through and reset it to optimized setting hoping that some option got changed and that would change it back. It was a no go. Any ideas on what I can do to fix. I have the gigabyte x58 extreme motherboard.

Thats a very good article.

I installed easy tune 6 from gigabyte just to play around with. It is a software based oc from gigabyte. I started having issues after I installed it. The only thing I can think of is maybe it changed some kind of setting in my pc under the bios.

The one thing I find unusual is that if it did when I cleared my bios wouldnt that put all setting back to factory and I shouldnt be having that issue now. At least thats how I look at it lol.

I loosened my watercooling unit also. I placed that in 2-3 days ago but I wasnt having this issue after I put it in so I dont think Its that. Only after I installed easy tune

Ok I understand the article but I am still having issues doing it.

I understand you need to take the vdimm and minus the qpi/drom and try to get it in between .01 to .5 to get full access to all the ram. My problem now is I cant find vdimm voltage and theres like 4 different qpi/drom voltage settings.

Does anyone know exactly what to do. Can walk me through. I am sorry to be such a pain just I really want this fixed its driving me crazy.

Things I have done so far.
1. reinstalled windows 7 64bit
2. reinstalled and reuninstalled easy tune 6
3. cleared bios and updated bios

I know the culprit here is easy tune when I played with that it changed something that affected my ram. If anyone knows how to fix it or has experienced this problem and can give me a walkthrough I would really appreciate it.
