memory question!

Turns out BF2 is a memory sucking pig as far as gaming goes...I currently have 2x512 of GSkill value ram (2.0,3,3,6) in slots 1 and 3 of my DFI UT NF3 Lanparty Mobo that has 3 slots. Can anyone tell me if there are any real life issues if I were to toss a 512 stick of
Mushkin 3.0,3,3,8 in slot 2?
I'm assuming that it should feed some of the need BF2 has for memory but I don't want to sacrifice performance...Any help would be appreciated..Thanks!

its doable, but not recommended. remember that all the faster rams will underclock to the slowest one active.

I figured that, but I was hoping that because I have value ram in there anyway the difference wouldn't be noticable to the naked eye (so to speak) but the benefits would be strong on memory glutenous applications...Thanks!
