I am currently running

Asus K8V-X M/B
Athlon64 3000+
512mb pc3200 PRO MOS memory **
Lite-On 52x48x52 cd/rw dvd combo drive
I think it's a pro max case with a 400w p/s <cheap quality I believe>
GeForce2 MX400 **
WD 80gb

Well I know the video card needs replacing, just considering my options there and waiting for some funds, probly going with a 6600gt but considering the base 6800 maybe 6800OC.

Anyway my question is about the Memory, I know the vid is a bottleneck and that is quite obvious, but I seem to think that perhaps the ram is as well. Anyone ever hear of this memory, it was the only piece of the computer I didn't actually request by name, my mistake. Anyway it seems to me that running XP HOME that it is slower than it should be at times and I if I reboot it seems to take care of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, also any help on which vid card to choose would be great, Im also considering the X series from ATI.

I would get the 6600GT I think....not in the market so haven't kept up on price/performance...I don't think the memory should be a problem....try going through your startup list and disabling all the unnecessary stuff that sometimes gets put on there without your permission
