I have an older Shuttle AK31V20 which I'm using as a server. A project I'm working on requires that I obtain more memory ASAP. The problem is, I pre-ordered an X2 cpu and intend to build a new machine to replace this aging machine in the next month or so, so I hate to buy slower RAM to match what's already in there.
So my question is, can I buy newer faster memory adequate for an X2-based board, and completely replace what's currently in there, or will the AK31 choke on the new memory? It currently has PC2100 in there, which according to the manual was the max it'd take at the time.
