Memory Question : Can i combine different speed ram ?

I have a 512mb pc3200 chip inside my system and a 512mb pc2700 chip lying around. Can i put in the PC2700 chip inside the system ? if so will both rams run at pc2700 speeds then ?

you should be able to do that . yes, all your ram will run @ 2700 though

I run PC2100 and PC2700 in the same system in dual channel mode they of cource default to 133mhz. I OC though so I run them at 182 FSB which is faster than PC2700 anyways.
