Memory Problems?

From a cold bootup I get these error messages. All other bootups after this are OK

During cold bootup (1st of day) before Win98 splash screen, get message

error: himem.sys has detected unreliable XMS memory at address 01BE46AC
XMS driver not installed

Next message:
The Himem.sys is missing.......

CopyWright MS 1989/95
Once system is warmed up, all further bootups are A-OK

Next cold boot
At bootup, before splash screen, get message

A fatal exception 0D has occurred at 0028:10CE in vxd (01) + 000000CE.
The application will be terminated.
Again all further bootups are OK
 
hmmm.... thats strange...
could be somethng not loading right in your BIOS, could be some faulty paths or something in your himem file... Or it could be your system not reading your RAM correctly some of the time.
 
It was a memory problem. Got in safe mode. Replaced with a spare 32 meg stick and all OK. Now all I have to do is get it replaced.
