Memory Problems with ABIT AV8 K8T800 Pro

In the first two dimms of my motherboard i have 2x 256 400hz Kingston memory, in my 3rd slot i tried to hook up a 512 400hz kingston memory, the bios refuses to boot and just beeps. Ive tried every combination of switching them around and stuff.

I dont beleive you need to pair anything with this motherboard, what could the problem be?
