Hey i recently bought an MSI K7N2 Delta-L M/B from newegg (hell yeah)). BUt i am having serious problems. I think it is the memory but im not sure. The problem is when i run any games my system freezes with sound looping. The only fix is to mash the reset button everytime. THis mainly occurs on 1st persons shooter and nevewinter nights as these are the only games i have played. I have no clue what to think. My memory is listed on Nvidia supported memory site. THis is my system configuration...

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ w/Barton core w/ 333 FSB
MSI K7N2 Delta-L
Gefore 2 TI 64mb DDR (needs upgrading lol)
Soundblaster Live 5.1 Digital
Foxconn Allied 400Watt powersupply with dual ball bearing fans
AMD Heatsink Fan
512mb (1stick) Kingston ValueRAM KVR333X64C25/512
**NOTE** I am using latest bios; and drivers.
Windows XP Pro SP 1
Nvidia 3.13 Nforce2 Drivers
Nvidia 52.16 Video Card Drivers
**I am not doing any overclocking since my system is already unstable***

What seems to be the problem and what is the possible fix?

couple ideas:

1. are you running the latest PC Alert software from MSI, or the old one for that matter. If so, what are your CPU temps??? May indicate an overheating problem of some sort.

2. Also check your bios to make sure your ram settings are at defaults for the time being.

My k7n2-L has no probs and once you sort this out you can run at 200x11 for a 3200 with no problems =)

My system temperature is 61 C. It seems a bit high but im using thermal grease and a fan. My RAM settings are at the default settings. Im also using PC Alert 4. Could my case be causing some overheating probs. It is a pretty cheapo no name case, and its mid tower. But other than that i have no clue what else to try. Im thinking about just ditching the whole thing and starting from scratch (except CPU) if you have ANY possible fixes PLZ list :p.
