Memory problems --- thought GEIL was good

Its rated settings are 6-3-3-2.5 DDR400

Keeps rebooting during the torture test of Prime95
even at 8-5-5-2.5 DDR333

any suggestions on what i should set them to?

just tried it at 15-7-7-3 DDR333
still crashed...

The regular GeIL stuff AFAIK was known to have quite a few bad sticks.

They love the extra voltage though

I'm just trying to narrow the problem down...

Before when I had the memory at 6-3-3-2.5 DDR400... memtest failed
I tried it at 7-4-4-2.5 DDR333 and it passed...

but i have not been able to get Prime95 to pass without rebooting

could it be the powersupply as someone in the other post mentioned?

I have heard that giel will not run right unless you bump up the voltage to 2.7volts. See if you can do that, and what is your motherboard.

If your memory settings are stable, then raising Vcore should get you Prime-stable.

btw, geils high end stuff (like the platinum series) is good, their value stuff is crap
