Memory problems on one of my systems

I have an ASUS p3v4x that has 2 256 meg 133mhz ECC dimms. I installed another 256 meg 133mhz ecc dimm, same as the others, and the system recognizes it but Windows ME totally freaks out. My radeon card went into 16 color mode, Creative launcher refuses to load, my programs crash and I get the BSOD. I am running 1006 beta bios on the mobo and never had a problem like this before. I tried the memory by itself as well as all the other dimms by itself and its fine. I also tried another slot but get the same prob. Is this mobo not capable of this?
 
oops, I just remember the win9x vcache thingy. Is that correct? I'll try when I get back home, but if you know of any issues with my current mobo please let me know. 🙂

yes, most likely if you're using more than 512Mb ram! 🙂
