Hi ! My pc was working with 2 x 1gb ddr2 800 mhz till now, now pc dont boot( I mean the monitor stay idle, i dont heard any TICK, as usually i hear when pc start, but i can hear the coolers working like they should. ) with BOTH of them, it boot only with one stick, my motherboard has dual-channel (feature) and i was using that sticks on dual channel, ofc. I know the ram dont "broke" so easy, so that's why i post there for help.

Soory for bad english i hope u understand

Probably a dead stick but it's DDR2, what do you expect? DDR3 has been standard for years and DDR4 is releasing in a few months.

Get some new RAM, or upgrade the computer entirely.

You can still find old ram like that on [H] from time to time, and it is usually cheap.

The Egg has plenty of DDR2 still available. Some -- very good G.SKILL modules with heatspreaders.

Some people expect longer usage out of an older PC. I know a woman in a volunteer group to which I belong, who was still using a Windows 98 system in 2007.

I'm too eager to spend money to upgrade our LGA_775 systems here in the house: the family is satisfied with that technology.

I'm just surprised the OP was getting by with only 2x1GB in his system.
