I have a Foxconn model nf4uk8aa socket 939 motherboard. When I try to install windows on my hard drive the monitor show windows loading files and then goes to file setupdd.sys. cannot be loaded the error code is 7 setup cannot continue. When trying again same thing happens but windows says bios is not fully acpi compatible. please help. thanks.

Try installing with minimum peripherals and make sure you re-partition and reformat the hdd. If problem persists, try another installation cd.

i found out by trial and error windows will not install on this motherboard when I have my two memory sticks in dual channel mode. it will only install properly when I put the two sticks in the appropiate dimms for single channel mode and everything works perfectly. then once I got windows installed changed the sticks the appropiate dimms for dual channel mode and sometimes I get a boot sum error and sometimes windows will lode but I have alot of unstability and reboots and all kind of windows errors. I don't understand why. I have 2 sticks of kingston value ram 1gig pc 2700 ddr 333. does anyone know what i can do to get dual channell working without all of these errors. I have a feeling it is something in the bios with the ram but not sure what? Thanks

oh and this motherboard runs perfectfully and stable in single channel mode. Would I notice a difference during gaming between single channel at 166 and dual channel at 333 with a total of 2 gig with two 1 gig sticks. I mean is it enough of a boost to even worry about dual channel. But, I guess i would really like to get dual channel working properly anyway.
