I went down to my local computer store today intent on getting a new computer with an Asus A7V motherboard. But they told me that would be a very bad idea since they hadn't been able to make them work at all with PC133 memories, only with PC100. I decided to wait a while and check around if what they said was right, because everything I've read about Asus A7V is almost entirely positive.

Could this store have an older revision of the board, or are they idiots....

Anyone who knows plz answer

Perhaps they are using generic (aka low quality) PC133.
These newer systems are very finicky about the memory used and some of the generic stuff out there is pretty sh!tty.

Any quality brand (Micron, Mushkin, etc.) would be just fine in that system.

My Mushkin HP PC133 128MB stick is working fine on the A7V 2-2-2. No problems with the memory at all.
