I was curious as to when memory prices will begin to fall? I am specifically looking for 512MB of Corsair PC2400+ memory, but most prices for that are around $200 which is a little high for my tastes at this time. I heard that in a month or so memory prices will begin to fall, but I havent seen that happen yet. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This is not a cheap hobby. I found that out years ago. If you want cutting edge, you've gotta pay for cutting edge. :)

Best Buy had a sale last week... 256 MB DDR266 for $35 after rebates... Crucial stuff too, not crap. This week they have PNY for $40 after rebates.

I believe there was one point last year or the year before where Crucial was selling their 256MB PC2100 modules for $36 shipped (no rebate BS) and they could overclocked very well for being PC2100... Should have stocked up then because once intel made the switch to allow for DDR to be used with P4 systems, DDR prices have took off and have never seemed to have looked back. I should have stocked up back then as my KR7A KT266A mobo has 4 slots and I know they all want to be occupied ;) 1gig of DDR back then is worth .5 gigs of DDR now, kinda sucks for those who might need a lot of ram but would need the faster modules that are only a little bit more expensive.
