Memory prices

Any one else remember paying over $150 for 4K of memory? I could get 1.5G for that today, not including inflation. Back in 82 I got a memory cartridge for a Commodore Vic20.

What is the most you ever paid for memory, when and for what computer?

Paid $40\meg once. I figure I have over $100,000 in memory if I could get $40 a meg for it today.

Hmmm...a measly $3.13/MB when I bought a 16MB stick for ~$50 when my family had our old Powermac 75LC.

$296 plus tax for a 256Mb PC133 CL2 DIMM from Crucial (the same module that ended up costing about 1/10th of that price about a year later). Ow, ow! :Q
