Frequently look poke my head in at Fry's Electronics and check availability & pricing of stuff.
Am now noticing smartly increasing prices for larger end flash drives and particularly for SSD. Increases seen range 20 - 24% over pre-holidays for the same items (even the same items still on the shelf) since say, last Oct/Nov.
(Also noticing higher end scotch whiskey prices experiencing similar increases & on the local radio, the sales price quotes for local real estate is noticeably on the rise. )
NAND price increases were predicted due to shortage (eg, http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/ssds-skyrocket-cost-upgrade/ ), but increases the other stuff is telling.
A guess is that the gigantic debt has to be inflated away (typically how it is dealt with) and Trump pumping up the economy is part of the plan in that direction.
Last time around, people didnt have any money cause they were unemployed. This time around you may be working, but you'll still not be able to afford the new costs (which includes tax on across-the-board larger numbers).
