I have a Soyo 6BA+IV with a P3 500 overclocked to 750, which means my FSB is 150MHz. For a year and a half I have been running this setup with 2x128MB RAM from Mushkin of their HSDRAM which does 150MHz at 3-2-2 stabily. The setup has been rock solid under WIN98SE, NT4 (SP5, SP6a), WIN2K (no SP, SP1 and SP2). I recently added 2x128MB Corsair PC150 CL2. From my understanding I do not need to change the 3-2-2 settings and I can just add the 2x128MB Corsair sticks to the current configuration. I moved the Corsairs sticks to DIMM slots 1 and 2 since they have the ability to be faster and would be accessed first. I then moved the old Mushkin RAM to slots 3 and 4. Is putting the slower RAM sticks in the last two slots bad? Or should I keep the current configuration? OR does it not matter?
