Memory overclocking problems

So I bought this memory to go with my opty 144 (on a DFI DAGF):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227031

Reviews say it can easily get up to 250 Mhz. But no matter what I do, I can't get it to overclock more than 10 Mhz! I've tried relaxing the timings, and sometimes it won't even post! Is there something stupid I'm overlooking? I can get it down to 2-3-2-5 easily, but frequency overclocking it just isn't happening. My old "value" ram, that was cheap as dirt could overclock 40 MHz. This is crazy.

I currently run a heavy divider to get my 144 to 2.55 Ghz. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you might be running your HTT speed too high. Your DFI BIOS will have an "auto" setting for the HTT speed multipler. Use this. The BIOS will automatically pick a safe HTT multipler to keep your HTT speed within a safe range.

Get the same problem with auto HTT frequency.

HT width: 16x16 (it's at default, but what does this do anyway?)
Vdram = 2.7v
2.5-3-3-6

Other than that, running default settings. I've even tried "auto" memory timings as well, but same problem.

Memtest the memory or take one dimm out and try to raise one dimm to its highest frequency and then the other. Who cares about dual channel at this point. You may have a bad stick.

I have memtested it. It passes fine at default settings, but of course fails if the frequency is overclocked much. Yeah, I'll try looking at the individual sticks. Thanks.
