memory options for Epox 8RDA+

Hi -- I wanted to ask if any users of the Epox 8RDA+ could recommend a brand/model # of memory that is stable. I'm building my first system. Checked teh Nvidia wesite but they don't list anything for this board specifically.

Thanks,

Sam

I'm using a stick of the $69 stuff right now at 200MHz, with a second stick due to arrive today (for dual channel mode). I tried a stick of the Buffalo RAM they have there, but it won't run at 200MHz in Dual Channel mode.

My HyperX PC3500 runs great at 215FSB, but I have to run in in single channel. This ram does not like to run in dual channel in thios board past 190 FSB. I have read other threads about the same issues.

I think Newegg sells different versions of that Buffalo brand. Which brand did you try? Just wondering if it was the Buffalo brand that comes with the Winbond chips?

Yes, it does have Winbond chips. I think it is the $40 stick. I probably should have waited until the 256MB Geil came back in stock; it's $38. 🙁

The $40 one you linked to says Samsung. Or does it say Winbond on your chips?

The reason I asked is I was thinking of getting the Buffalo with the Windbond chips, but maybe I won't. Not sure yet. Seems all these new Nforce motherboards are extremely picky about their memory.
