Memory optimization tools

Do they actually work and are they worth it ? I would mainly use one for a older pc with limited amount of ram that can't have the memory upgraded. Always hear about these kind of tools but never was sure if they function correctly or do more harm then good.

no and no. You really can't "Optimize" something that gets wiped every time you shut down your computer. Not only that, but the only optimizations they do are defraging, which ram doesn't really have an issue with. Ram has instant access to every part.
