Memory: one or two modules?

I have just bought a P4 3.0E (I know, I know...) and a Asus P4C800 E Deluxe.

I want 512MB of RAM.

Should I buy one 512MB module or two 256MB modules?

Well since that Asus board is an 875 chipset (i think?)....you shouldn't even consider 1 stick. Running 2 sticks in dual channel will make a HUGE difference in memory bandwidth. So in summary....definitely get 2 sticks. 😀
