Memory on a KX133 chipset board...

Do you really need PC133 memory for the KX133 chipset? I'm getting a soyo k7via board and I have 128MB of pc100 memory now and don't really see what the point of pc133 memory is for it. Can someone please tell me what good pc133 is for the board, thanks in advance.
