Memory not on QVL list, still ok?

Click on the QVL download on the left side and you'll see that the memory I bought:

Mushkin 2x2gb 996587 DDR2-800 does not appear on the QVL list...is that going to be a problem? If yes, I'll need to exchange it w/ Newegg for something else...

What exactly is the QVL list, the end-all be-all? Or just something that gives you a starting point?
 
Chances of it being an issue are extremely unlikely.

If you're really worried, you can post on the Mushkin forums...i bet someone has that exact config already working just fine.

There are lots of Mushkin 2x2 GB + P5Q series users from what i've seen from forums all over, & i've yet to hear of any issues.
