i built a computer about 8 months ago, P4 2.4, gigabyte mobo, 1gig, kingston PC2100 ram, has ran like a dream for a long time, i started learning about overclocking a few months back and have since then turned my fsb up a few cautious notches, the computer has run even better, no heat problems, didn't touch the cpu voltage, but now i've developed a ram problem.... I run some high end cad programs on this computer, during one of my cad sessions the computer is usually utilizing about 500 or so megs of ram, well now, that number will slowly rise and rise, it will go over the gig mark and i start getting messages about my program using up more than 80% of my resources, I can turn the program off, and "make sure it has shut down completely" but my ram usage will still be jacked up in the 5-600's, to get my computer to clear off i have to restart it.... i usually have to restart it about 3 times a day to clear off my ram, is it because i've got cheap ram?? has the increased fsb frequency damaged it? I turned my fsb back to normal and my computer got slower and the ram problem was still there.... Any ideas?

install any software JUST before that began to happen? any file sharing stuff you use? try SpyBot from anywyhere, download.com for instance, maybe you have some spyware screwing stuff up..

look for RamPage while youre there, if nothing else itll free up ram so you dont have to reboot until you can figure out a solution

It might be something to do with Kazaa. But do Ctrl+Alt-Delete click on Processes and sort by Memory Usage to see which program is taking up the most memory.

i do this often but my memory usage.... in performance saying i'm using 1 gig or whatever, doesn't match my processes when added up, when i tack up high, i usually can't account for about 400 or so meg of mem usage...
