So, here's my NEW problem...
I have 965 ds3 3.3 and F10 bios with e6600 cpu and 4 gb
of this (2 times this, so all four slots filled)- DDR2 2048Mb (2x1024) PC6400 Corsair, TWIN2X2048-6400C4, 4-4-4-12. I believe other stuff is irrelevant right now...

So, when i set 4-4-4-12 timings in my bios, which i did through "expert menu", and save settings something VERY strange happens. FIRST, it seems as if my PC died, it seems to completely shut down. after a few sec, it turns on AGAIN, and starts booting. IT gets as far
as to loading Vista and then- boom- IRQ not less or equal bsod, restarts... bring settings back again to auto, VIsta loads.

What is this? Can anyone advise me on best settings for this memory and mobo? In the expert menu? What could be the problem, this memory should work at 4-4-4-12, right?
I didn't touch frequencies or anything ELSE, just put 4-4-4-12 instead of auto... When MY pc seemed to SHUT down, it scared the ****** out of me!
Is it RAM? does it matter if all slots are populated?

You might have change the Volts for the better speed usually you can't just leave it at 1.v8 if at that or whatever it starts at. to go lower i think have go higher like 2.1 or 2.2 but you have to look on there website it should tell all about there memory. Cause i dunno for sure.

Well, yes, i didn't specifically mention it because i did change it to 2.1 from 1.8 V(when i said i didn't touch anything, i meant other timings or settings), as Corsair said it was tested for 4-4-4-12 at this voltage. But guess what?
STILL it didn't run... then i pushed up to 2.2V. Still the same problem...
YO8u know what turned out? My Chieftec 550 w didn't give memory enough juice... it was DEFECTIVE. I immediately changed it. Now it works great at 2.1V :)

But still, i am wondering what the best settings would ne for that memory in that secret menu? Now i have 4-4-4-12 settings, but what about others? Does anyone know?
