Well, after 2+ years with the same P2 400 on a BX motherboard, I am finally deciding on making some major upgrading...
I was thinking of getting a motherboard supporting DDR RAM, but after reading the KTA133A review I am gona reconsider that (plus, I can't find a single UK online shop selling DDR RAM...).
Still... The question is... I crrently have 256MB PC100 RAM (CAS3, came with the PC + I am not really an overclocker).
RAM is cheap at the moment, but I am still wondering if it is worth to upgrade to PC133 (Or PC150, providing I can even find those) ?
Or should I just keep my PC100 RAM and wait till price for DDR RAM to drop (and become more widely available) ?
The next question is regarding the Chipset (for AMD mobo).
I am just wondering how long I can expect to keep a KT133A become I'll need a new motherboard again... Will I be able to use a Palomino Chip with the KT133A ? How bout the Morgan (well, I am poor ! I'll probably get a Duron now if I get a KT133A anyway) ?
