memory leak in Xorg while DC'ing?

I do DC w/ BOINC at night on Ubuntu 14.04.

I've noticed that if I leave it running for a while, like 20+ hrs, I start to see a steady increase in the memory use of Xorg. Like, when I initially start ubuntu, it's using 100 MB or so, but if I let it do nothing but DC for ~20-30 hours, I come back and see Xorg is using ~4 GB of RAM.

That smells suspiciously like a memory leak, right? Has anyone else who crunches on linux in general, or ubuntu in particular, noticed this?

Thanks biodoc!

In case anyone else was wondering, I at least isolated what was causing the leak. The only other application I typically had running other than BOINC was the system monitor. If I don't leave system monitor running, I don't see a memory leak in Xorg.

It still might be fixed by upgrading gpu drivers, but I've avoided it for about a week.

I do use system monitor from time to time but most of the time I use "top". There's no fancy gui interface but it gives a lot of the same info in real time.
