Hi guys, I recently redid my PC, I am using an ASRock 939SLI32-eSATA2 mobo with an AMD 64 X2 3900 plus and 4x512mb Corsair VR that is PC3200 CL2.5. I ran CPU-Z and in the MEMORY tab it show the memory at 133mhz frequency but in the SPD tab all 4 sticks show up as 200mhz and the timings are 2.5 3 3 7. Whats up with that? I ran SISandra and ran a memory benmark and compared to othe systems running pc3200 and my results were on par with PC3200 speeds, actually a little higher but in the details page that shows up it still states 133mhz. I this because these are fairly new components (mobo, cpu)? The bios says all the correct info, 200mhz et..al. I have been building PCs for 20years but am new to AMD systems. :) Thanks.

Check in BIOS that your memory options are not set to AUTO - use manual settings. If there is a FLEXIBILTY or COMPATIBILTY MODE setting make sure it is DISABLED: ENABLED causes the memory to run at a default 133MHz speed.

CPU-z is correctly reading your operating memory speed (133MHz) and the module's SPD (defaults to 200MHz 2.5-3-3-7 if not overriden by the BIOS). The BIOS appears to be reading a memory setting of 200MHz but something is overriding this (e.g. the FLEXIBILTY / COMPATIBILTY setting).

You hit it on the nose! Changed mem speed from auto to 200 and BAM! all is well! Thanks betasub!
