Memory issue I could use some assistance with.

ok I have the following.

p4s333-m (Latest bios 1.007)
1.6a (oc 2.1) (It's been stable for about 8 months. Zero issues with the cpu)
256 kingmax 2700
ati 9700

I just purchased 2 sticks of kingmax 512 3200 memory. I can't get the memory to work in the system. It will only boot into the bios screen. When I save/exit the system starts it's loading part then garbles the text and freezes up. I chose the higher memory so that my O/C would hold. Is there any settings in the bios for the memory that I can set to make this stuff work. Throw me a bone guys.

First you need to test that RAM, sounds like it might be faulty.
Download Memtest-86 here

Test 1 piece of memory at a time to determine if either or both are faulty, then come back here and post your findings. We'll work from there.

yes I tested the memory on another system to confirm the memory is ok. I only use one stick currently. I talked with an asus tech. He said set the memory to 1:1. He wasn't sure but he thought that might work.

Your memory timings may be too agressive, have you tried backing them off a little? Trying to run 2 sticks of memory in an overclocked system is much less likely to work than a single piece of memory. Also, will it boot ok with just 1 piece of memory?
