My asus board ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 only detects 4GB of Corsair Dominator (CMG6GX3M3A1600C7) ram in BIOS and Win 7.

Here is a message I got from testing one of the sticks individually on memtest:

I am getting ready to RMA the ram tomorrow but before I do that, I thought it might be good idea to share this issue with all of you and in turn I'll be able to get your insight.

I am also thinking of RMA'ing the motherboard if all else fails, but what's even more weird is that CPU-Z detects all 6GB, but Win7 and Bios (update to most current).

If you have any thoughts or ideas that would be helpful, it would be appricaited to hear from you.

Thanks,

For windows to recognize more then 4GB or ram you need to be running the 64 bit edition. Your bios should be showing it though. Have you read through the manual to make sure you have the ram installed in the correct slots? Also sometimes there are settings to enable addressing of more then 4GB of ram.

Have you tried changing the memory around in the memory slots? You could have a bad memory slot or bad memory controller.

Also, you need to run Memtest in DOS. Windows based tests are not as reliable. Be sure to disable Legacy USB Support in the BIOS as it conflicts with Memtest. And, use version 4.0 from www.memtest.org
